Mole mapping or digital videodermoscopy involves inspecting and diagnosing the skin of individuals who have pigmented lesions of varying suspicion levels, using both macro and microscopic photographic acquisitions, which need to be monitored for future comparisons.

Duration of the procedure

Approximately 30 minutes

Follow-up

Usually, patients are rechecked after 12 months. In the case of suspicious moles, close follow-up at 2-3 months is implemented to decide on possible surgical removal.
